my momma & a taste of my heritage ( you thought i was mexican didn't you? WRONG)

I don't talk much about my parents. It's complicated and very exhausting, but I love them. Especially my mom. She's the bee's knees yo. Growing up it was hard because we had a language barrier, a generation gap and she was my mom.
But tell you what, she's the coolest person I've ever met. She's got stories from her day back in the Philippines that would knock your socks off seriously.
this lady (Imelda Marcos, first lady of the Philippines) had a reputation for having TONS of shoes(we're talking 2700 pairs of shoes!!)... and of course you know that the Marcos' were removed from office. WELL... my mom and her friends were at the palace that night, and the crazy kids that they were went inside the palace and stole shoes from Imelda Marcos.
see the lady with the yellow pants? well that's not my mom, but my mom is the one on the left holding something red in her hand
Some of you might be like.. what the heck?! but seriously, if you knew my mom, you wouldn't think this was possible because she's so saintly and goody two shoes. Little surprises like that make me love my mom ten fold more.
