Governing Values

my english class is great for many things.

i get to read lots of fun essays (... well. sometimes they are fun)

and we get to talk about how we percieve things.

This class really makes me think sometimes.

My teacher gave me an assignment that has to do with Governing Values.

I thought I'd share it with you.

this list is prioritized.

Governing Values

1. Family- Family will always come first, no matter what the case may be. They are the most important things you can have.

2. Faith- Heavenly Father gives us every opportunity, so why wouldn’t I show my gratefulness towards Him.

3. Education- Education will get you places; will help you have knowledge and ultimately more faith.

4. Health- remaining healthy is important to provide for my family and see them prosper.

5. Communication- if there is no communication contention ensues. I do everything in my power to have proper communication.

6. Equality- Men and Women (husband and wife) are equal in the world and in the marriage.

7. Honesty- if your not honest, you might as well be a thief and/or murderer.

8. Safety- see health. Don’t do anything stupid that wouldn’t make you able to come home and see your children grow.

9. Financial Security- isn’t everything, but important for a comfortable, less stressful life.

10. Love one Another- Love everyone around you as you love yourself, the world is less annoying when you do it this way.

11. Happiness- Do what makes you happy, but is legal and Christ-like. No one likes a person who is always unhappy.

12. Cleanliness- Cleanliness is next to godliness. This goes for the house, car, or person. Besides no one likes stink.

13. Forgiveness- holding grudges aren’t worth it.

14. Humility- be humble, it’s easier to ask for help that way.

15. Kindness- be kind to everyone, family included. People will always remember you for your kindness.

16. Sincerity- being sincere is so important; no one likes a fake person.

17. Time- Management- manage your time wisely; make time for your family. You’ll see that there usually isn’t enough time in the day.

18. Self-Loving- Love yourself so that you can love others more fully.

19. Understanding- be understanding, not everyone has the same standards as you; try to show them with kindness.

20. Self-Control- obey the word of wisdom, use that still small voice, and self control will follow.
