stupid computer. stupid computer with really loud fan. stupid computer with really loud fan that only is quiet when i hit it repeatedly.
today was a day that started before the sun was up. i quickly got myself ready, woke lorelei up (because she actually slept in!!!), got her ready, fixed a bottle, printed off my school schedule and then dropped her off at our neighbors who willingly & happily obliged(God bless them) to babysit lorelei. I scurried back to my house because as i always do, i lost my keys. After throwing things around, i found my keys, ran downstairs while skillfully trying NOT to slip on our ice rink of a parking lot. I get to my car, turn it on, turn the heater on full blast on defrost and whip out the ice scraper. Last night it had drizzled a light rain as the temperature quickly declined for my liking causing a very thin, yet VERY stubborn layer of ice on my windows. I only had enough time to scrape a little hole in the drivers side before i had to run to my first class.
I made it to class in time, but parked far away because if you know Rexburg, pretty much ALL the single students walk to class, and they not only walk to class, but they walk carelessly to class, don't look both ways like their mothers taught them to do, and walk to class like they are invincible. My worst fear is that i'll be driving on campus and hit someone. In fact i'm so scared of hitting someone that if they cross my path and i'm inching it a little close i actually IMAGINE the sound it would make if i accidentally hit them. It freaks me out and kind of makes me want to throw up.
It's hard when your driving to class to feel the spirit because you're too busy cursing the walkers to either "Hurry up!!!" or "HELLO!!!!!! DON'T WALK OUT IN FRONT OF MY CAR LIKE THAT!" or " DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH!!! SEEEERIOUSLY!"
or maybe that's just me. the overly paranoid driver.
So anyways. i find my parking spot, hike to my first class; yes, i said HIKE. climb the stairs, go back down the stairs because i thought that i had the wrong classroom number and then walk back up the stairs because i was right the first time. I walk into my class panting, find the nearest seat and sit down while i feel like if it got any hotter i was going to have to start sheding clothes. That class begins and ends, and i'm off like a heard of turtles to walk all the way to the other side of campus for my swimming class, get there with maybe 5 min. to spare, introduce myself, yadda yadda yadda. and then class ends and it's time to go to my third and final class of the day. it's on the other side of campus, but luckily i have an hour inbetween this class. so mind you, i walk as slow.... as possible. because i'm in no rush.
i get to my last class, sit down and we go on from there.
see... it was a pretty uneventful day, and the only real excitement happening is in between classes. the part where i'm rushing to and fro on slick, slippery, wet --half frozen snow while trying to keep my balance and now biff it in front of everyone.
but in other exciting news. the processed my account today and i got to go home with money! yay. which was much needed because we are broke.
tomorrow will be a day of doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, fixing the beds, and homework. followed by work.
