yesterday Austin and I took L to her 2 month check up and shots
i was super d duper NERVOUS because i really didn't know what to expect.
they weighed her.. a whopping 12 lbs! and measured her... 24 inches long, my what a tall baby i have. and then they went over some things about her vaccines and then they gave us a minute to get ready and came back to give L her shots.
They started her off with the oral vaccine and then counted down 3...2..1... POKE! (three at once) L didn't know what was going on, but it took her about 3 seconds to find out.
My heart instantly broke and i started crying because i knew she was in pain and i couldn't do anything about it. my poor poor baby let out a cry i'd never before and i just wanted to hold her until she fell asleep.
The nurses had to tell me to step back because they weren't done, but i couldn't control myself. I wanted...needed to hold her.
but she's doing a-okay now. she slept pretty much all day yesterday and i managed to not get any homework done... what's new.

12 lbs at 2 months! Holy cow! At least you know she's a good eater.
yeah, she's huge, but she doesn't look chunky cause she's so tall.
she's in the 80th% for her age.
