Home is where they heart is they say, and our hearts are still in Missouri. Our departure was bittersweet. We didn't want to leave Missouri, but we were so ready to be home and sleep in our own beds. We also were not looking forward to the long 20 hour drive home.
I tried driving more yesterday, but had to quit because on my second turn to drive i had to drive through the mountains, cross a dam, and try not to kill us by driving fast down hill where there was ice.
first of all i hate driving in the mountains, in the dark, by bodies of water and dams because i always picture us driving off the dam and into the water. I don't know what's wrong with me, but that's what i think of.
so austin took over and i tried to stay awake with him and ended falling asleep for like an hour.
anyways.
let me get to the beginning....
austin and i arrived in Missouri last saturday around 7 and we slept a little bit and then played with some friends. we met with the parents, and we had dinner with bryan, mike, and nathan at cheddars and of course we ran into some old friends of ours. we showed off our baby and then came back home. oh and then we went to Carthage High Schools production of Hello Dolly and it was sooo good, blew Joplins production out of the water, but that's not hard to do. Lorelei slept through the whole thing, i was so proud of her. she's a good baby
sunday we went to sacrament meeting, showed off our baby some more and then headed out to go to the farm and hang out with aaron and his gf and kids, it was fun and we even broke the rules a little bit and went to cookies, ate pie and food. mm.mm.mm. it was delish!
Monday we woke up around 8, and i can't really remember much else
Tuesday was like monday, we again didn't do much. we helped mike rake leaves and then went home. i think.
wednesday was a fun day. we woke up around 8, and then around 11 we went and picked up mike and went to the burts house where we proceded to shoot guns. assualt rifles to be exact. it was so much fun! i'm pretty mean with a scop, with a hand gun, not so much.
Andy, austin's older brother came into town and we hung out with them and talked and then thursday came around. thursday we all went to the farm, i hung out with the baby, and the rest of the family went to the creek farm. after they got back i shot my 22 and austin played with his brothers 22- 250.
friday we had thanksgiving, got family pictures taken, and i hung out with my two best friends.
saturday we left that morning and ventured back to idaho :(
now we've got to get through these next weeks and then we've got christmas break.
